For the NASA Search and Rescue Antenna Celebration, I was tasked with developing a bannerstand for the project to use in their lab. The project had recently completed the installation of two additional antennas at Goddard, completing their test system configuration. NASA performs the "research and development" element of the United States Search and Rescue involvement, developing and validating new technologies and systems to help take the "search" out of Search and Rescue. NOAA operates the satellites that recieve the beacon signals, and forwards those distress calls to the Coast Guard and Air Force, who actually save people's lives.
